Gillu Studio partnered with Mool to bring their AI chatbot to life with dynamic animations and intuitive interactions. Our team focused on creating seamless shape animations and state animations that made the chatbot feel fluid and engaging in its responses, ensuring the chatbot was both approachable and professional.
We enhanced the user experience by integrating interactive animations, making the AI’s responses visually engaging and intuitive. Whether the chatbot guided users through financial queries or answered market research questions, the animations added depth, personality, and functionality to every interaction.

A chat interface is a state machine
A chat UI animation system designed for Mool’s AI assistant.
Animating a chatbot is not one animation. It is a set of states that have to hand over to each other cleanly, in any order, for as long as the conversation lasts: listening, thinking as it starts, thinking while it continues, thinking as it resolves, then answering.
The hard part is the joins. A thinking loop has to run for half a second or eight seconds depending on the model, so it cannot have a beginning or an end you can see. And it has to exit into the answer state without a visible snap, from any point in the loop.
We built each state as its own Lottie file so the app can trigger them independently and hold a loop for as long as it needs. Shape animation rather than video keeps them light enough to live inside a working interface without competing with the thing they are there to support.
The tone had to sit in a narrow band too. Approachable enough that someone asks a financial question without feeling tested, composed enough that they trust the answer when it arrives.
