Illustration, footage and motion in one film
A mixed media animation blending illustration with live footage.
A growth plan is a financial idea, and financial ideas are easy to make boring. Mool needed theirs explained in a way that felt like it was going somewhere, not a chart being narrated.
We built it as mixed media. Illustration carries the story and keeps it warm and brand-owned. Live footage grounds it in something real, so the numbers feel like they belong to actual life rather than a diagram. Motion design stitches the two together and controls the pace.
Mixing formats is harder than picking one. Illustrated frames and filmed frames have different light, different texture and different weight, so the grade, the timing and the transitions all have to be designed to hide the seam between them.
Done properly, the viewer never notices the switch. They just follow the story from one idea to the next, which is the entire job.
